Vehicles Information

We use 4-wheel drive Toyota Land Cruisers on all our safari tours. In order to make your safari as good as possible, we take great care to ensure that the quality of our jeeps is good. To ensure this, the jeeps are taken in for a short service after each trip.

We carry extra tyres in all jeeps in case, against all odds, you get a puncture. Our guides and drivers are all very skilled at driving in different weather conditions and on different surfaces. To some of the parks the road is paved, but inside the national parks the surface is often uneven — the drivers will adjust the speed to your preference.

In addition to driving safety, they have also been trained in service and wildlife, with plenty of interesting facts about the animals of the savannah and exciting stories to share along the way.

Comfort in the Field

Our jeeps can accommodate 7 passengers and all have window seats. However, if you choose budget accommodation, you lose the seat next to the driver to the accompanying cook. The roof is easily lifted to stand up in the jeep and look out over the savannah, and all jeeps carry communication radios for safety and to stay in touch with each other.

There are a number of electrical outlets in the jeep so you can charge cameras and mobile phones during the trip, and each jeep is equipped with binoculars. All jeeps in northern Tanzania have a refrigerator where you can store water and other drinks.

If you are camping, you will not have a connection while on safari. Most lodges have Wi-Fi, though coverage isn't guaranteed. We encourage you to focus on wildlife and nature rather than Wi-Fi while on safari with us — but if you would still like a router in the jeep, we can arrange it, though we cannot guarantee it will work 100%, especially in parts of the Serengeti.
