Why This Matters
Turning 18 is a pivotal, often overwhelming moment for young people raised in institutional care. Government regulations require them to leave orphanages and either return to biological families or build an independent path — frequently from backgrounds of poverty with little support in place.
As they pursue higher education, they often lack basic electricity accessories that are essential for daily student life, while the orphanages that once supported them must redirect limited resources toward younger children entering care.

We take pride in standing behind bright, ambitious students at a moment when so much else in their lives is uncertain. By providing learning accessories and materials to help support their studies, we make a practical, lasting difference to their daily life as students.
In early 2025, we organised a memorable outing in Dar es Salaam for a group of the students we support — a chance to relax, network, and build friendships beyond the classroom.
