Some lodges and camps offer Wi-Fi, though it may be limited in remote areas. We recommend treating your safari as a digital detox. Mobile signal is available in many areas but can be spotty inside the parks.

Check with your healthcare provider on recommended vaccinations — Yellow Fever is mandatory if arriving from an endemic country. Anti-malaria medication is advised, along with insect repellent and long sleeves in the evening.

We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical treatment, and evacuation. Given how remote some safari locations are, evacuation coverage in particular is worth confirming before you travel.

Light, neutral-colored clothing, a warm jacket for early mornings, comfortable walking shoes, a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, binoculars, and a camera. We'll send a detailed packing list before your trip.

As a general guideline: $10–$15 per person per day for your safari guide, $5–$10 per person per day for a cook on camping safaris, and $5–$10 per day pooled for lodge staff.
