Government regulations require them to leave orphanages and either return to biological families or build an independent path — frequently from backgrounds of poverty with little support in place. As they pursue higher education, they often lack basic electricity accessories that are essential for daily student life, while the orphanages that once supported them must redirect limited resources toward younger children entering care. Our Response ## How We Help We provide learning accessories and materials to help support their studies — a practical form of support that makes a real difference to daily life as a student. 1 #### We Pledge 10% of our profits are set aside for this initiative, on every safari booked. 2 #### Students Receive Support Electric accessories to help support their studies, provided directly to the students. 3 #### Studies Get Easier They can study with confidence, with one less obstacle standing in their way. ![University students supported by Utukufu Travels on an outing in Dar es Salaam](https://utukufutravels.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/06/utk-01-bn2.jpg) In Their Words ## More About Our Support We take pride in standing behind bright, ambitious students at a moment when so much else in their lives is uncertain. By providing learning accessories and materials to help support their studies, we make a practical, lasting difference to their daily life as students. In early 2025, we organised a memorable outing in Dar es Salaam for a group of the students we support — a chance to relax, network, and build friendships beyond the classroom. > “Education is not a privilege — it's a right. Supporting these determined young people helps them unlock new opportunities and, in time, give back to their own communities.” Whether you book a 5-day, 7-day, 10-day, or 11-day safari, a portion of that booking goes directly toward providing learning accessories and materials to help support the studies of young people who have aged out of children's homes, or who come from disadvantaged backgrounds — funded entirely from our profits, at no extra cost to you.
